Counseling Method

We exclusively use the Non-Secular counseling model called Creation Therapy. This therapeutic approach focuses on enabling one to better understand oneself and the responsibility to establish a vertical relationship with God. It is based on Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created…" and Psalm 139:13-14, "For you created my inmost being: you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Your works are wonderful, I know that full well". We identify the hidden or core problem's) so we can aid the client in problem resolution.

Creation Therapy deals with the inner man rather than outer manifestations and problems. It is based on the belief that man is a unique being rather than the result of an evolutionary process. This method was developed over a period of 7 years of research involving 5,000 individuals seeking help for their problems. Research shows that over 90% of counselees who voluntarily seek counseling are helped and healing is promoted. Successful results are achieved when administered by a trained and qualified (A.P.S. Creation Therapy Process

1. A successful five step method for counseling those who come for help.

2. What causes relationship conflicts and how to resolve them, and identifies needs of the counselee and helps them to find a balance in order to relieve the inner stress. They develop a willingness to surrender the ungodly ways they have been accustomed to, and replace them with methods in accordance with God's Word.

3. Conflict resolution skills which focus on the Word of God and His principles for emotional and spiritual healing.

The secrets of human behavior and how God's wonderful plan works when it is understood and applied. Counselee's will learn to find peace within themselves, within their environment, and with the Lord.

Administering the Arno Profile System (A.P.S.) temperament survey which identifies an individual's inborn temperament rather than their behavior. This helps the counselor in identifying the core problems and aids the counselee in problem resolution. This profile used in conjunction with the Word of God has been proven highly successful in healing.

We know that God is the only solution for all of our problems. Creation Therapy is a viable tool which allows counselors to emphasize the importance of yielding to God's will and to discover His purpose for our existence. It teaches how to draw nearer to God, how to submit to His will and allow the Holy Spirit to become our constant guide and how to listen and recognize God's voice.

Confidentiality

All counseling sessions operate within the confidentiality of the counselor/counselee relationship as required by law. Counseling ethics and operation are conducted within the guidelines of the National Christian Counselor's Association (N.C.C.A.).

Fees

This counseling center provides a safe place where individuals can find themselves in confidence. As a ministry, we seek to keep the costs for counseling low, in order to provide an outreach for all who are in need. An Arno Profile System Report (A.P.S.) for a personal temperament analysis must be taken for effective counseling with a one-time cost of $50.00.

Restoration Counseling Ministries is a non-profit ministry depended upon the donations of clients and friends to meet all operating costs. We offer the benefits of high quality counseling at an affordable cost. Each session with the counselor ranges from 50 minutes to 1 hour and is measured on a sliding wage scale and/or donation basis.

Cancellations

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call or email at least 24 hours in advance. Except in the case of an emergency, any appointments cancelled without a 24 hour notice or a “no show” will be subject to (1) half the fee rate for the first incident and (2) the full fee rate for any incidents thereafter to compensate for the time lost.
